Summer classes are held Monday-Friday starting at  ages 5yr. and up. 

Each class will work on technique and style. See class schedule below.

Private Lessons:  Need some one on one attention to work on choreography or technique? Private lessons are a great way to get some personalized coaching to take your confidence in  dance to the next level.  Private lessons are available for ages 8yrs. and older.

Virtual Classes: ALL classes will be held virtually as well as in person. You may attend classes virtually at any time for any reason. If you are currently enrolled in classes and need access to the Zoom class please email Karen at hello@thedancinghouse.com


Ballet Mondays

 1:00-2:00pm Ballet IV Teens/Adults. A ballet class for Teen/Adults who   have had a year or two of previous training.  We will start with a classic     barre warmup learning positions and steps while engaging proper   alignment.  We will add centre floor work which will incorporate turns,   jumps, and leaps.  Form fitting clothes required, as well as pink ballet   shoes. 

 5:00-6:00pm 8+yr. Ballet I This is a student’s first classical ballet class.   We will learn the foundations of ballet at the barre with positions of the   feet, correct alignment & beginning ballet steps that will transfer to movement across the floor.  Students will develop an appreciation for this beautiful art form & discipline that is the foundation to all other studies of dance.  Bring a water bottle.

6:00-7:00pm 10+yr. Ballet II In this class we will continue the  foundations of ballet at the barre with positions of the feet, correct alignment & movement across the floor. More intricate footwork and patterns are incorporated at the barre in centre floor.  Students will continue to develop an appreciation for this beautiful art form & discipline that is the foundation to all other studies of dance. Bring a water bottle.

7:00-8:00pm 11+yr Ballet III - This classical ballet class builds on foundations learned in level 2.  Students will continue to grow in their understanding of alignment, steps, and presence. Students must have graduated from level 2 or have teacher approval. Please wear pink ballet shoes, leotard with pink or white tights.  Bring a  water bottle.


TuesdaysBoogieFit

4:15-5:00pm 5-7yr Hip Hop - This high energy class we'll be jamming to the latest tunes, and learning to isolate, pop, stall, lock and groove our bodies.  It's a fast paced class and super fun!  Bring a water bottle & clean tennis shoes.  This is a level 1 class.  

5:00-5:45pm 8-10yr Hip Hop - This high energy class we'll be jamming to the latest tunes, and learning to isolate, pop, stall, lock and groove our bodies.  It's a fast paced class and super fun!  Bring a water bottle & clean tennis shoes.  This is a level 1 class.  

5:45-6:30pm 11+ Jazz/Lyrical  -  Lyrical dance combines techniques of classical ballet and modern dance with current forms of popular dance along to lyrical music. This class will include a warm up, stretching, across the floor, center work, and choreography that will be made into a dance. This is a great class for dancers who want to express deeper emotion through movement and prefer a softer form of dance.

6:30-7:15pm 11+ Hip Hop -Learn the fun style of HIP HOP while dancing to the latest, age appropriate music. Please wear clean tennis shoes, and comfortable clothing. Water bottle will also be needed. This is a level III Class.

 

Tap Wednesday

 5:00-5:45pm 5-6yr. Tap /Ballet  **At 73 Tribute Location** Tap foundations are continued as well as more coordination involving   arms and stage directions.  Ballet is explored in the latter part of class   with very basic positions and progressions.

 6:00-6:45pm 6-7yr. Tap/Ballet **At 73 Tribute Location** This class is   for a dancer who is just starting at tap or has had previous experience   years ago. We will continue our knowledge with tap and expand our   ballet knowledge by working technique centre floor and progressions   across the floor. 

5:00-5:45pm 8+ Tap - This high energy class we'll be playing with rhythms, and fund syncopations.  Comfortable clothing and black tap shoes.  This class will be tailored to the participants.

6:30-7:30pm Rotating Masterclasses - We're going to spice up this summer with a little bit of everything.  From Swing, Heels, Pilates, Tap, Musical Theatre, Strength and Conditioning for Dancers and more! These classes are all included in your summer pass or you can purchase a one time class ticket via our Facebook Page.

6-6:50am Beginner Yoga A gentle yoga class to start your day energized and refreshed.  Stretching and breathing deeply.  Lots of modification offerings for those shoulders, wrists and hips that may not have the range of motion they used to. *At 73 Tribute Ave. Location 

1:00-1:45pm Adult Tap - A beginner class for adults. Learn to shuffle off to buffalo, or continue working on their tap technique.  We will learn a dance over the course of the 8 weeks, just in time for you to show off for your next porch party!

Saturday
