The Dancing House Staff
Hey there! I'm so glad you're here.
I'm Melissa, and I love Dance. IÂ love to be it, teach it, watch it, and create it.
When you come into one of our studios, you become part of the family.
You'll be greeted with hugs and taught with encouragement from a trained and caring professional.
My hope is that you leave our doors better than you came in. Whether it's expressing a new dance step, or song, building your confidence or heightening your health we want you to radiate joy!
We want Dance to be the Highlight of Your Week!

Hi, I’m Miss Sophi, and I’m so excited for my 6th year at TDH!
Dance has always been a huge part of my life, and I love getting to share that passion with our students each week. My favorite part of teaching is watching dancers grow, not only in their technique, but also in their confidence and love for dance.
I began dancing at the age of 4 at a local studio and continued through high school and college. I recently graduated from the University of St. Thomas with a Bachelor of Science in Neuroscience and look forward to continuing my education as I pursue a career in Occupational Therapy.
The Dancing House is certainly the highlight of my week, and I can't wait to dance with you this season!
I'm Alyssa and this is my fifth year as an instructor for The Dancing House. I'm excited to be back for another year!
I began dancing at the age of 4 and grew up dancing recreationally until jr. high, when I began competition classes in jazz, lyrical, ballet, and tap. In high school I performed as one of the 4 angels in the production “Anything Goes” and was a performer and choreographer in a musical revue of historic Broadway shows. I also choreographed a jr. production of “The Big Bad Musical.”
I went on to the University of Minnesota Duluth, where I studied early childhood education while still taking dance classes and being a part of a student run dance group. I graduated with a bachelor's degree in early childhood general and special education. In college is when I began teaching dance classes and have been doing so for over a decade now. As a teacher I still take class for myself when I can and have attended the Dance Teacher Web conference in Las Vegas, and the Twin Cities Tap festival in past years. I've taught multiple styles in both recreational and competition classes, but tap is forever my favorite!
My day job is teaching at St. Francis School in Ellsworth, where I live, with my husband and two kids- Lucy and Theo.
I look forward to another amazing year sharing my love of dance with others!
Hello everyone, my name is Miss Lily and I am so excited to be coming back home to teach at The Dancing House!
Dance has played a significant role in my life for 10+ years now as both a student and a teacher. I am an alum of the Phipps Dance Company as well as the University of Wisconsin River Falls Dance Theatre program where I trained in styles including contemporary, lyrical, ballet, jazz, tap, hip hop, musical theater, and even traditional Peruvian dance styles.
In addition to being a forever student of dance, I have also had the privilege of teaching and choreographing for the Phipps Center for the Arts, UWRF Dance Theatre and The Dancing House. I am so happy to be apart of the TDH family again and get to know all you wonderful dancers!
Hello friends! My name is Aryanna, and I’m so excited to be part of The Dancing House staff!
I’m 21 years old and have been dancing for as long as I can remember. My passion began with performance and quickly grew into becoming the teacher I am today! This will be my second season with The Dancing House, and I am so proud to call this place one of my “home studios.”
When I am not dancing, I love reading, hiking, and spending time with friends and family. I grew up competing in the styles I have trained in, such as tap, jazz, hip hop, pom/kick, ballet/pointe, and contemporary. I'm continuously working to keep learning and making myself a better educator!
I'll will also be continuing my performance career. This last summer I spent performing with The Phipps Center for the Arts. Dance is a big part of my life and who I am, and I hope to keep sharing that love with the next generation of dancers.
I can’t wait to dance with you!
I am currently a senior at Hudson High school. Although school takes up a lot of the day, I love to read, bake, and sing along to any music in my free time.
