Tuesday
Tappy Tuesdays 12:00-12:45pm $124/6 Week Session: A beginner tap class for senior adults, although we promise we won’t card you.
This welcoming and supportive class is designed for adults who are looking to keep moving, challenge their brain, learn something new, or reconnect with the joy of dance. Whether you’ve never worn tap shoes before or you’re dusting them off after many years away, this class will meet you exactly where you are.
Classes will be geared toward the abilities in the room with plenty of modifications and encouragement so every dancer can feel successful, confident, and supported. We’ll work on foundational tap skills like shuffles, buffaloes, rhythm, coordination, musicality, and balance while enjoying movement in a relaxed and joyful environment.
Over the course of the six weeks, dancers will also learn a fun routine together, because movement is always better with community.
At The Dancing House, we believe dance is for every age and every stage of life

“My daughter had never taken a dance class before. When she was 14, she asked me if she could take ballet. She was starting from the beginning as a teenager, but Miss Melissa and The Dancing House didn't care about that. My daughter was fully welcomed and was met were she was. Even more than met -- she was loved for where she was. The Dancing House is a place where students are encouraged and treated positively. Miss Melissa helped my daughter build confidence and gain skills that transcend beyond dance. We love The Dancing House and Miss Melissa!”

“Melissa is an amazing teacher and mommy! My thirteen year old daughter has taken lessons with her for several years and always asks me to sign her up for more. She loves Melissa's classes because they are both challenging and fun! I also have personal experience taking classes from Melissa - her adult tap class is a hoot! I would highly recommend The Dancing House and Melissa to people of all abilities and age. She is extremely professional, talented and caring teacher and person.”

“I danced through grade school and then stopped once I graduated. After a decade of not dancing, I missed it so much! So at the age of 33, I was in search of a studio with adult classes where I could dance again - for fun and get in a good workout! 4 years ago I found The Dancing House, and it was the perfect choice for me. I've taken ballet, tap, yoga, and I am still taking Boogie Fit - which is an amazing dance fitness class. I also use the Virtual Dance on Demand option when I travel. Melissa is an amazing teacher, choreographer, and just simply a wonderful person! I 100% recommend The Dancing House to everyone of all ages!”
